Discover the small town of Llangollen, and the beautiful Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno on this relaxing break in the Welsh Borderlands.
Saturday We depart and travel to the small town of Llangollen, renowned for the surrounding hills and River Dee. Steeped in myth and legend, Llangollen is a haven for shoppers looking for interesting and unusual gifts. There are also many interesting walks in the town. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Mold and the Beaufort Park Hotel. This evening enjoy a three course evening meal.
Sunday Following breakfast, we travel home via popular Llandudno, a traditional Victorian seaside resort, with the longest pier in Wales. It is also home to the UK’s only cable hauled tramway, which takes you to the top of the Great Orme and offers spectacular views over Llandudno and beyond. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
The Beaufort Park Hotel is an independently run hotel, located just a short drive from the historic market town of Mold, set in the attractive North Wales countryside. All bedrooms are located on the ground and first floor and are all en-suite with television, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. Additional facilities include a bar, lounge and restaurant. NO LIFT. Official rating AA 3 star.
