Saturday We depart and visit Warwick Castle, an impressive medieval fortress on the banks of the River Avon. A visit to the castle will also take you through the beauty of the landscaped Capability Brown gardens. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Coventry and the Novotel Coventry. This evening enjoy a three course evening meal.
Sunday We depart after breakfast and travel home via Stratford upon Avon. In the heart of England and surrounded by glorious countryside, Stratford upon Avon is home of the world’s most famous playwright, William Shakespeare. Stratford is steeped in history with many half-timbered buildings from medieval times, with the River Avon running through the heart of the town. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
The Novotel Coventry is a modern hotel, ideally located for visiting Warwick Castle and Stratford upon Avon, a short drive from the centre of Coventry, known for the legend of Lady Godiva. All bedrooms are en-suite with television, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. Additional facilities include a bar and restaurant. The hotel also has a small gym.
