Please note it will be a late return to the hotel and some passengers may find the walk to the castle difficult. There is a short but steeply inclined walk of 80 metres up Castlehill, the old cobbled approach to the Esplanade. There is then a further 60-metre walk on average, followed by steps up to the spectator stands where generally, the seating is quite steeply tiered.
Wednesday Today we enjoy a visit to The Kelpies, the largest pair of equine sculptures in the world. Towering above the Forth & Clyde Canal, The Kelpies are a feat of engineering, each made with 300 tonnes of structural steel, and are a monumental tribute to the horse power heritage that was vital to the early industries of central Scotland. We will enjoy a 45-minute guided walking tour, before making our way to Stirling, home to the historic Stirling Castle.
