Monday We travel to Southend-on-Sea.
Tuesday Following breakfast, we visit Colchester, Britain’s oldest recorded town. The town was the first city and capital in Roman Britain and has a rich history that dates back over 2000 years. We then continue on to Clacton-on-Sea, the leading resort on the Essex ‘Sunshine Coast’ and home to seafront gardens and delightful pleasure pier.
Wednesday Enjoy a morning visiting RHS Garden Hyde Hall. Sitting prominently on a hilltop with sweeping views across the rolling Essex countryside, Hyde Hall takes full advantage of its 360 degree views. With its wide open skies and far reaching views, it has an eclectic combination of different gardens, with some 360 acres to explore.
Thursday Today we enjoy a visit to Chelmsford. As Essex’s only city, Chelmsford, has a wealth of things to see and do from the popular Chelmsford Museum and beautiful Admirals Park, to the fabulous shopping on Bond Street.
Friday We depart after breakfast and return home.
